We collect only the information needed to provide admissions guidance, application support and student finance assistance. Access is limited to authorised NovoHE staff and partners who need it to perform their role.

Personal details are stored securely and handled in line with UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Documents you submit — such as identity evidence, qualifications and supporting statements — are received through secure channels and reviewed only for admissions and compliance purposes.

We do not share your documents with third parties unless required for your application, student finance process, or where you have given consent.

Information shared with NovoHE may be used to assess course suitability, prepare applications, and support Student Finance England or equivalent processes where applicable.

We explain what information is needed at each stage and ask for your consent before progressing sensitive steps.

Only trained NovoHE team members with a legitimate need can view your records. We maintain internal controls to prevent unauthorised access, loss or misuse of personal data.

Please provide accurate and up-to-date information. If your circumstances change — for example your contact details, immigration status or study preferences — let us know so we can keep your record correct.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to support your enquiry, application or regulatory obligations. When information is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data where the law allows. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Under UK data protection law you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability in certain circumstances.
